Another super long name from SheaMoisture! But, another great product as well! The SheaMoisture JBCO line is specifically tailored for those that have natural, chemically processed, color treated or heat styled hair. This line is meant to “nourish, heal and grow your hair! Due to the variety of ingredients in this product that are meant to stimulate hair growth, ladies who are trying to grow their edges back, this a great product for that! I purchased this product from CVS for $10.99 for 2 fl oz.

INGREDIENT BREAKDOWN
Organic Shea Butter–“Deeply moisturizes while conditioning hair and scalp.” Every product junkie and naturalista AND curlie should know about the wonders of Shea Butter for hair! If you don’t, shame on you! However, here’s a great article by Curly Nikki that’ll enlighten you however. A brief overview of the benefits of Shea Butter are: (1) hair softener, (2) shields against UV Rays, (3) Protects against heat, (4) Sealant for the hair, aaand (5) Soothes irritated scalp.
Jamaican Black Castor Oil–“Loaded with reparative omegas that promote healthy hair growth.” The growing effects of JBCO has recently driven many women to start hair challenges to show that it really works. Specifically, however, this oil “will moisturize, thicken, strengthen and rapidly increase hair growth. It increases blood flow to the scalp, supplying valuable nutrients to hair follicles. Jamaican Black Castor Oil will also prevent hair breakages, dandruff, eczema and dry, itchy scalp.” To read more about this great oil, read this very informative article on Naturally Curly.
Rosemary Oil—“stimulates scalp circulation to help support healthy hair growth.” I love love rosemary oil! I use it the majority of my DIY hair products (which you can read more about in DIY Treatments) If you want more growing benefits, you can add a few drops of peppermint oil to the mix.
HOW TO USE IT
The instructions say to “massage a few drops gently into scalp as often as needed. Do not rinse out. Style as desired. For a restorative hot oil treatment, massage gently into scalp and hair. Cover with a plastic cap and apply moderate heat for 5 to 15 minutes depending on your hair’s condition. Shampoo and conditioner after treatment. Style as desired.”
HOW I USE IT
I use it similarly as the directions instruct. When using as a hot oil treatment, however, rather than apply the oil BEFORE shampooing and conditioning, I like to use after conditioning–applying on my scalp while applying a deep conditioner to the length of my hair.
