Keratin 2 Minute Reconstructor

Standard

I can’t start this blog post off without saying that this product is truly one of my top ten products! Out of all the products I have tried and will try, this product truly is at the top. About a month ago, I started using my flat iron a little too much and as I had just gotten my ombre done, this probably wasn’t the best move. My ends were getting a little ragged and my hair just wasn’t doing what it should. So, of course, I hit the web and started searching for anything that would help repair my ends before it was too late and I ran across Apoghee 2 Step Protein Treatment and this Aphogee Keratin 2 Minute Reconstructor Treatment. Pure blessings to my hair! I purchased both of them at Sally’s! This keratin treatment was about $7 for 8 oz.

I used the protein treatment first (review available under Protein Treatments) and the next week used this product on my hair. I wish I had taken pictures but as usual, I didn’t haha. But, as usual, I did find a great article that details how to use this product and an equally amazing YouTube video that shows you how to use this treatment and the before and after difference on her hair!

HOW I USED THIS TREATMENT

When I use this treatment, I apply it similar to the method used in the YouTube video. I start off with freshly washed hair of course. I like to section my hair into four sections and apply this to each section while detangling with a wide tooth comb in order to ensure equal distribution. Make sure to pay special attention to the ends of your hair, they are fragile and generally need a lot of attention. When all sections are done, I pile my hair into a top knot and cover with a plastic cap. Next, I sit under my bonnet dryer for about 15 minutes. I know the directions say to leave for 5 minutes but…sometimes more is better right? haha Plus, when my ends are dry I like to be pay special attention to them. So after 15 minutes has passed, I return to the shower and rinse my hair out.

It’s important to note that your hair might feel a little dry after this treatment but all you have to do is deep condition and you’re good to go! Your hair will love you forever!
