Kinky Curly Come Clean Shampoo

Standard

This is a great shampoo that I came across accidentally. I was in the market for a new clarifying shampoo as my Carol’s Daughter Rosemary Mint clarifying shampoo had recently run out. While in Walgreens, however, I spotted this shampoo and mistakenly thought it was a clarifying shampoo. Wrong. While this shampoo does leave me hair feeling cleansed it is NOT a clarifying shampoo as it is actually gentle enough for daily use. I would never shampoo my hair daily though, ha! Lately, I’ve started washing my hair in sections. Although my hair has always been thick, my new natural growth has started to make my hair that much thicker. And, because I’m seeking to miminize breakage during this transition period, I find it so much easier to section my hair into four sections when I wash. When I do that and apply this shampoo to each section, every single section is left feeling super clean yet STILL moisturized! And those two things alone sell me on this shampoo! But, the amazing natural ingredients (sulfate AND paraben free) are a definite plus! I purchased this shampoo from Walgreens for $11.99 for 8 fl oz. A little pricey and, yes you could find other shampoos out there for cheaper, but this shampoo really gets the job done while leaving your hair moisturized! Plus, it IS a shampoo and we all know how infrequently naturals, transitioners, and curly girls use shampoo.

INGREDIENTS

Purified Water, Organic Mandarin Orange Fruit, Organic Marigold Flower, Organic White Willow Bark, Organic Sea Kelp, C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate and Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Coconut Derived), Phytic Acid, Citric Acid, Sea Salt, Phenoxyethanol and Natural Fragrance

HOW I USE IT

Just like any other shampoo–I section my hair into four sections, wash each section making sure to massage the shampoo into my scalp and throughout my hair root to tip, then wash each section out! If you hair isn’t so thick, however, just apply to scalp and hair and rinse.
