SheaMoisture African Black Soap Balancing Conditioner

Standard

This product, as previously explained, tailors to those that suffer from a dry, itchy scalp. This conditioner can triple as a leave in conditioner, pre shampoo, or simply as a conditioner to be used right after shampooing. I purchased this from Walgreens for $10 for 13 fl oz. Because this conditioner is tailored towards those that suffer from a dry, itchy scalp I use it sparingly, usually only during the winter months when I suffer from a dry and tight scalp.

INGREDIENTS

Deionized Water, Cocos Nucifera(Coconut) Oil*, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter)*, Mangifera Indica(Mango)Seed Butter*, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil , African Black Soap Extract, Behentrimonium Chloride, Salicylic Acid, Salix Alba (Willow)Bark Extract, Melia Azadirachta (Neem) Seed Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Simmondsia chinensis seed (Jojoba) Oil, Sorbitol Esters, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Vitamin E, Rosemary Extract, Plantain Extract, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower (and) Lonicera Japonica (Japanese Honeysuckle) Flower Extract

HOW I USE IT

I use this product as a conditioner rather than a pre-poo or a leave in. The instructions say to work this conditioner through hair from roots to ends, while massaging gently into the scalp. You can leave on for 3 minutes or even up to 15 minutes, and then rinse out and proceed onto a deep conditioning treatment. I prefer to use this conditioner after shampooing with a clarifying shampoo because, while this product does detoxify and cleanse the scalp, it also restores moisture to the hair that is lost when using a clarfiying shampoo. A great combo when detoxifying the scalp and hair!
