Nothing But Curl Wake Up Spray

Standard

I love love love this product!! Even before I really started this healthy hair journey I used this product simply because it woke up my wavy/semi curly hair when left in its natural state. But now that I’m more informed, I love it THAT much more. This product contains no petrolatum, mineral oil, sulfates, parabens, colorants, or pthalates. Instead the ingredients are

Water (Aqua), Glycerin, PPG 5 Ceteth 20, Polysorbate 20, Amodimethicone, Trideceth 12, Cetrimonium Chloride, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Laureth 4, Polyquaternium 10, Fragrance, Acetamide MEA, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Panthenol, Propylene Glycol, Sorbitol, Sodium Cocoyl Collagen Amino Acid, Cocoyl Sarcosine, Wheat Germ Acid, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Germ Oil, Linoleic Acid, Linolenic Acid, Sulfur, Polysorbate 80, Oleth 10, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Hydrolyzed Glycosaminoglycans, Diazolidinyl Urea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Polyquaternium 37, Propylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, PPG 1 Trideceth 6, Hexyl Cinnamic Aldehyde, Citronellol, Hydroxycitronellol, D Limonene, Linalool

I use this spray on freshly washed hair, especially after a good deep condition. I spray liberally and use my Tangle Tamer or a wide tooth comb to detangle. I don’t find that this product eases detangling, however, it does “invigorate curls.” The coconut oil in this spray is great for penetrating the hair shaft and deeply moisturizing it while the shea butter seals in this moisture. This spray also contains hydrolyzed keratin and wheat germ oil which are amazing for strengthening the hairs cuticle and reducing breakage which inevitably leads to length retention. Something we allll love! You can use this product on freshly washed hair or on second day hair that needs a bit of waking up (hence the name “Curl Wake Up Spray). Just remember to pair with a good creme based leave in conditioner to seal in moisture. In my “DIY Leave In Conditioners/ Sealants,” I have a great recipe for my personal favorite DIY leave in that seals in moisture while providing shine! The smell is great and you can get it for $7.99 (8 oz) at Sally’s!
